Google Plus Commenting on YouTube - ALL G+ COMMENTS POSTS HERE

Just because it's a free service doesn't mean that as a community we should blindly accept such poor business conduct. We are their bloodline, not people they're doing free favours for.

With all decisions in life, we make them for whatever reasons. Sometimes they are good, sometimes there are bad ramifications.

It's too early to say whether or not this decision to convert to G+ is poor business conduct or not. While I do understand the potential benefits, as a creator, it is not making it easier to manage my channel.

It's poor conduct because it has been forced onto the userbase without supplying any option to defer on the change. The changes to the comments system aren't that bad, albeit they've wrecked the ability to take part in on going content within the comments boxes that has been around for years, it's the fact they've forced us to integrate with their lacklustre 'facebook killer' when really most of us just want to have a YouTube account.

Murphy's law in full effect with the timing of this. I posted 6 videos yesterday that now have about 300 comments spread out between my video manager and my google+. The comments will continue through Saturday for the giveaway. Yep, so I need to gather all the names from all the comments. There's got to be an easy way like their used to be, but I never learned that either. I just favorited that video after finding it here yesterday.

This is going to be a nightmare; however, I should be able to write a guide after it's all said and done. lol

You guys should stop trying to fight Google. Google is your friend, they are not OCP. Stop whining and deal with their new changes. Using your real names may be a good thing, it can eliminate trolls.

Imagine the internet becoming the Googlenet. Everywhere you go online, you will HAVE to use your real name instead of ridiculous made-up names like "dark angel" or "bloodrayne2013". We might even have to show our real faces instead of funny looking cartoon faces.

I'm imagining it... and it doesn't look good. What you described is the situation of the internet in China. It's very locked down and real names must be used. I personally haven't heard anyone wanting that to happen to the rest of the world as well, so you're on your own if it looks good in your imagination.

Regardless, you can still maintain anonymity with Google+. My email used to have my real name associated with it, but now all my Google related accounts just say cmasupra thanks to this change. I don't like it at all since I like to have all my accounts separate, but it's still possible to maintain anonymity.

I think some of you are wrong when saying "we learn to like it". No, we get used to it, but not really favor it. However, as long as I can upload I'm cool. The one thing that gets me a bit ticked is the comments. I think we can all agree that what makes us the happiest is clicking "inbox" and seeing "Comments (3)". I wish they hadn't of made it so difficult. Connecting YT and G+ for the most part doesn't seem like a big deal, but it really, REALLY does seem far to complicated to use. Can anyone explain how to actually do it? Excuse my ignorance.

You can view your most recent comments another way, by going to www.youtube.com/dashboard (add the comments widget if you don't have it already).

Yeah, this is ******* me off. No idea how to work it. I hook it up with google + and I still don't have the option. Like I said, it's not the connecting that is a pain, but how poorly it is done. Also, I look my thumbnail for my channel. Anyone know how to retrieve it?
