Google Plus Commenting on YouTube - ALL G+ COMMENTS POSTS HERE

Does anyone know where I can check or enable notifications so I know when I have new comments? Via my video manager I can see that I have new comments but google+ doesn't send me any notification for these new comments. I already checked the setting and agreed on receiving email notifications for everything and I haven't gotten a single email but i know I've gotten new comments because I went and clicked on my videos, scrolled down to the comment section and read the comments this way...there has to be a more efficient way though.

Also, some people are worried about having to use their real name with google+ but you get to keep your youtube name if you have a google+ page, not google+ profile. When I created my YT channel it automatically created a google+ page for my channel and then later asked me if I wanted to create a personal google+ profile. I accidentally clicked yes so I had a google+ page AND google+ profile. I ended up deleting the personal google+ profile so all I have now is the google+ page...wow that was a mouthful, lol.
 
I noticed this today too and I like it! The comments are allowing me to find people to follow on G+ and when they share my videos onto G+, I get to see that and comment. I can do the @ with their name in the replies..... I like it!
 
Since google+ has gotten right in our faces, I've decided to post videos on the respective communities there and have gotten some pretty good responses!
 
So, as many of you know, when you upload a video, there's an option to send a message to your subscribers and also to share on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter. Well, I just did that for my latest video (see signature), and guess what happened? I shared on Google+, and thanks to the new Google+ integrated comments, it made that message the first comment on the video! So now it has a comment that invites people to watch the video in the comments! I'm pretty annoyed and won't be sharing to google+ ever again.

Anyone else have this problem? Feel free to vent about the problems with G+, and be warned about the new comment system. There does not appear a way to delete your comments anymore (maybe I could delete it on G+ itself...)
 
Yes, and I don't mind it. It's not a problem as I always use the message to subscribers thing and I'm never sure if they even check the message as it only ever appeared in the feed. So if it appears in the comments where they can see it, I don't mind.

Yeah same problem and I was equally annoyed. The message in question was, by definition, a private message to my loyal subscribers. Google+ just copied it over into the public comments section of the video without even asking me. This isn't progress.
