Google Plus Commenting on YouTube - ALL G+ COMMENTS POSTS HERE

New comment system is in place, check out the thread called "G+ comments....." (something along those lines) in this forum for more info :)

No. That's not what I mean. With the new Google+ comments there is still a top comments section which worked like the old top comments section. However it just got ruined.
 
It's all based on a sorts of "popularity". The more attention a new comment get, the higher it goes on the top comment list. Activity includes upvotes, downvotes and replies. Including replies from the person who made the comment. You can essentially make yourself top comment on pretty much any video by replying to yourself lots.

Up until today. Look at the top comments section. The first one would usually be at least an hour old (I'm talking about channels with 2m+ subs and on a video posted hours before) now it is just a few seconds old. Something changed, and I have no idea what.
 
Now with G+ Circles, viewers will see comments from other viewers that are in shared Circles rise higher to the top. This is because you share Circles and it is more relevant to you.

People jockeying to get Top Comments isn't necessarily beneficial to the discussion.

No, what I mean is that it isn't actually the "Top Comments" Notice how they are all a matter of seconds/minutes old, without any ratings (other than Shane's but it's his channel...) just yesterday there would be 4/5 actual top comments with lots of thumbs up that were old because... well they were top comments and kept on getting upvoted. The new "top comments" are seemingly random.

Ooooh thank you. I didn't realize what was going on there. I didn't realize that the replies count as well. :( I miss the top comments. It was one of my favorite things about Youtube video watching.
 
Today...I got a new comment on one of my videos. I went to reply to them, and thank them for leaving such a nice compliment. Aaaaaannd I wasn't allowed. I wasn't 'allowed' to reply to my new viewer. Wtf Google???
I hate the new comment section. I miss the top comments. Every comment on the top of a larger video is a troll comment. I freaking HATE it.
 
I'm starting to see the positive side of the google + integration. I think people just don't like change lol tbh. It's easier to keep track of comments, share across the google + community, and interact with subscribers.
