Battery life isn't brilliant. Definitely pays to have the battery BacPac.

I have a tutorial in my channel on how to create a TimeLapse etc, although it was created with the Hero2, but gives you the general idea

hmmm, I think my time lapse videos are comparable, I guess I just want the gopro because it's easier to mount when I'm doing active stuff like biking. I just want to see a timelapse with the whole 4K resolution to see how clear it is compared to my iPhone or my Pentax Optio.

Not sure how you'll see one at 4k res as YouTube won't go higher then 1080p......yet!
But yes, the GoPro is such a versatile camera, perfect for mounting on moving objects!
