Getting over the fear?

I just wondered, if you have any suggestions about, how to get over the little fear I have? I really want to post some videos on Youtube, and I have some ideas, but I have this little fear about showing my face on camera or even saying something. I even have this fear about my family, friends, classmates etc. figuring about me making videos on Youtube. It might sound irrational, the fear, but I'm still a little afraid about it.
Could you maybe have some suggestions how to get over this fear?

One of the only ways is to push yourself to do it to overcome your fears, not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera initially and practising and getting used to it will help. Maybe make several videos you know won't be going online until you feel more comfortable.

The same lol

Just do what I did when I started out, do a load of try outs until you are satisfied that your video is good enough!
Also with regards to people finding out about my channel, no one knew, people who know me are still completely oblivious that I run an active channel and that my old one of 3 years had 5k subscribers!

No one has to find out, and they won't if you don't tell them.

If they do that's because you've grown and by then you'll be confident enough to just go "yeah I do a channel" anyway.

It's win win!

Give yourself some time practicing, maybe 2-3 months and save the first video of the month you made to compare how you improved.
If you need assistance of knowing what you need to improve, contact me.

All right, I will try to do that. And thank you ^^

I hope it will work like that, and my confidence will be high at that time. And thank you ^^

What Michael said.
As for family and company finding out, they won't if you keep it a secret ^^

It really has a lot to do with how you feel about yourself. The more you criticize yourself, the more you fear that others will do the same. I've made 10 videos and I'm still nervous when I'm about to film because my mind starts going "you're awful, you're ugly, [every insult known to man]..." and then I have to say "Mind, stop it, you're talking BS." :stop2:

Same goes for other people finding out. If you love what you're doing, it doesn't matter what others will think. I had one person finding out and they called my videos silly, and I thought yeah they might be a little silly if you think about it, but I loved making them and I'm proud that I did.

Yeah. I have this fear too. I actually post videos on secret and my parents don't know about it. Only me, my sister, my brother and two of my cousins know about it.
Once I tried it out during my youtube recording time asking my mum if I can record myself on youtube and she said no.
That's why most of my videos I have a whisper and is not recorded very well because of fear of getting caught. However if my parents knew and accepted that I can make videos online then I would obviously have better content.
You can just maybe tell them at the beginning they might say yes before you post your first video maybe.[DOUBLEPOST=1386765518,1386765436][/DOUBLEPOST]And I do youtube because it's fun and it keeps me busy and I like to make people happy and make people learn from my videos and I don't want my parents refining this simple happyness by saying the word "no" therefore I just don't tell them.
