I have a comedy channel and while I'm pretty happy with my level of jokes and what not, I always want to improve. So I started reading this book called "Comedy Writing secrets" and it is very good so far.
One tip/exercise that I am planning to try is to take 10 of my favorite performers, for me I have youtubers that I use as inspiration so I will find 10 videos by them, and jot down all jokes that you found funny and successful.
Once you have around 15-20 jokes that you like. Analyze them and find out why they work. In doing so you will start to understand how to build jokes using similar concepts/ideas and you can improve yourself that way. I might do a response to show how it went for me, if you try, I encourage you to share your experience. Good luck you wonderful people.
