I would advise getting a headset with a mic because if you have just a mic and you record with reasonable audio level from speakers, the mic will pick that up as well. I use a Creative Fata1ity headset and I've been nothing but satisfied since it has replaced my aging Plantronics headset I've had for 5 or more years.
I have the Logitech G35. Some say I should get a better mic/headset.
First of all, you need a CHANNEL so go to youtube.com and make one.
Let's start of with the equipments:
You can go check my thread here:
- You need to have a decent PC:
PC Building thread: Affordable, high-end..whatever! Just post your budget!
Basically, all you need to have a decent PC is:i3-3220(Haswell doesn't release their i3s yet)Any Intel B75m motherboard500GB-1TB HDD8GB DDR3True-rated PSU. preferably 80+ BronzeAT least GTX 650 Ti or AMD 7790.These are the lists of screen capture:

- Xsplit(More on livestreaming)
Viewers tend to stay if you have a good audio quality. You can choose either buying
- A good headset/mic:
a headset or standalone mic. Standalone mic is much better but the portability is meh.
Headset is also much easier to use. It's your preference:
I've only used Samson CO1U and Corsair Vengeance 1300, both are good and cheap.
You can go with Blue Ice Snowball or Logitech G35.
PS: Will edit this soon. Post your suggestion in headset or mic since I haven't tried many. xD
karlsanada10 I'm not sure which model but it wasn't the best or the most comfortable. I know for a fact it was one that it had circular earbuds a bit larger than a quarter and I was afraid of them becoming loose. I believe it was the .Audio 326 based on looking on their website.
I definitely need to get a new PC and have been given some suggestions already on what to look at and so forth. You're spot on with this list though. I have everything but the decent PC, although I've been making due with my laptop!
I heard that the Blue Yeti Microphone is a great mic for recording commentary or voice overs. I just ordered it from walmart (with a gift card I got xD) and it should arrive on the 14th. So, if you want, I can give you an update on it. That is, if walmart ships it in time.
