I've requested to be unlinked from ZoominTV around the 17th of this month, which is when my contract ends. So I've been trying to decide what network to go with next. I've been contacted twice from TGN and Fullscreen, and once from Acifin regarding partnership. But from what I've read here, TGN isn't all that great. Plus I'm not crazy about being stuck in Fullscreen for two years if I don't like it. Not to mention that I've heard they only help much larger channels - who don't really need help.
So I've narrowed my search down to Freedom! and Curse' Union For Gamers. Both have a no lock-in contract. Freedom! has a 60/40 base revshare vs. 90/10 for Curse. I don't quite understand how CPMs work exactly, and haven't found what sort of CPM Freedom! offers, but I've heard around $10 versus $4 to $14 for Curse (even though they say $3 - hence the confusion).
Furthermore, Freedom! is always putting out content on their channels trying to give YouTubers ideas and ways to grow and improve, not to mention having channel spotlights and such to boot. Plus the sheer amount of perks they offer is well documented - sponsorships, free access to XSplit, among many others.
Meanwhile, I can't find any channel to speak of for Union For Gamers. Their forums are hidden from non-partners, except for a rarely updated news section and more open but not overly useful (at this point) discussion section. From what I've read, they offer some unnamed app for making thumbnails (which would likely have a learning curve), plus the potential (though it seems pretty slim according to their partners) for free promotion on one of their many video game themed sites. Their ads are also geared towards gamers, thus increasing the likelihood of viewer retention.
So what do you guys recommend? I've seen many threads here where people seem to lean toward Freedom!, but at the same time, I haven't seen much if any mention of Curse: Union For Gamers. Are there any pros or cons for either network beyond what I've listed here? I would greatly appreciate your help.
