Following a Schedule...?

i havea very loose definition of a schedule. it's "I post every Thursday, +/- 3 days" I'm usually off by a day or too (when I feel like editing mounds of footage, lol) you don't want to see me on my bad day

I myself dont have a schedule but I try to upload every week I never missed a week until last week Iwent 2 weeks without posting and my latest vid hasnt even broken 50 views Iin 5 days. I dont think anyone should officially declare a sschedule until they are sure they are ready for it.

Haha, I know with my number of subs/views it really doesn't matter in that sense, but it's a personal promise and I hate the thought that I'll be breaking the commitment I made to myself. :S

For that exact reason then, you need to find a way to make it work. Does your cellphone take video?

Well, I have stuck to the schedule quite well so far, it's just that this 2 week trip is making it harder for me to keep up. :S

It does, but the quality's pretty horrible compared to my D700. The thing is, my style of videos is basically sketches/scripted vlogs, so it's not like I can film myself on vacation and upload it, cause then it wouldn't fit in with the rest of my vids.

I recently started using a schedule, and I try to stick to it as much as possible. If you're not feeling up to pre-recording videos before you leave, don't worry about it. I'm sure your viewers won't mind.

I suppose, I might just film one later today. Maybe I'll be able to do something for the other 3 days that I may have to miss. :S

I try to stick to mine as much as possible but a lot of the time things get in the way. I just let my viewers know and then I would make a video that is twice as good to make up for it

I've decided to use a schedule from now on. So fingers crossed but I'm sure your viewers won't mind if you miss a couple of days. Just let them know!

I try and upload around 6-8 videos a day. Recording isn't really the hard part but the editing and uploading part is. I sometimes find that if I record extra that I can use those to give myself a day off if I feel I won't be able to keep to my daily schedule. So in a way the extras videos work as a back up. Does anyone else do this?

I was going to have a schedule as obviously it makes people happier and keeps them coming back knowing when you will upload! But it is just too much pressure with work and everything! I would feel too bad if I missed a day! I think you will be okay! Maybe leave your subs a message saying there will be a new video as soon as you can make one!
