First Youtube Background Attempl (Advice?)

Hey everyone hows it going? So at my college they have all the software from adobe so since I don't currently have Photoshop I thought I'd Give making a background a try. My concern is the size and format for the page? I can really only find templates for the old YouTube format and I would really like the new one. I also want to make something that matches my Logo (That Michael created for me) and I would like to encorporate it into the background.

I was thinking of having a bunch of pictures from skyrim mw3 minecraft mass effect starcraft 2 and games like that, I just dont want it to be to busy you know? I want it to look clean and crispy Any advice?

I would download that and try and do the same colours as I used in your logo with a white middle part perhaps.
