First Dislike! Yay!

Speaking from experience, you'll get used to it over time. Trust me it could mean any number of things(the thumbs down), they just plain don't like the video(this is ok), they are being negative or trolling, they are jealous of you(or just don't like the channel) etc etc. So basically since you will usually(as time goes on) never know why they did it keep this in mind that it is a bearing on them, not you. Pretty much its impossible to use youtube and not get downvotes. Go look up the biggest channels you can find, you'll see what I mean. :)

Look at is this way. There's a little thing called Karma that tends to hate on people who hate. So, basically, the cosmos will find where this person lives and confront them. Hey thanks! Keep at your singing don't worry about other people. Everybody is a critic, I posted Hack Assassin on this other forum(cause I'm most proud of the camera work on that one) and everybody was criticizing my work. Yet all the comments on the video itself compliment my work. As Ab-soul would say,its all subjective s**t...
 
I don't even remember getting my first dislike. :b Nowadays I get them in such heaps that they don't even bother me unless they start to overpower a video, which never actually happens, but the first hour or two after uploading a video is still a bit scary. I always wanna pass 100 likes before hitting that first dislike. I usually manage to get around 300-400 before that happens though. Still! :D
 
i remember when I got my first dislike, i made a topic on yttalk saying how excited I was, the next thing some started dislikeing some of my videos for a joke, and i was like yo serious?

I mean a dislike sometimes is a positive thing, you cannot improve or develop having only positive feedback all the way, right?
 
Sometimes they just do it for the trolls. I know because im a gaming youtuber and 16 years old so peopl may try and take advantage for trolls. But i just make videos for fun and take on feedback dislikes arent a big deal for me. Its just about feedback and views on videos
 
I wasn't that bothered by my first dislike because the video that received it had far more likes, and so far I've only gotten 2 of them! I think I'll be more bothered when my first hater comment appears! I wouldn't worry too much, some people are going to dislike videos but hopefully more people like them!
