Final Cut Pro keeps acting up

I’m editing a video in final and half of it is saying it’s missing when it’s technically not. I spent last night editing the video and I’ve come back to do some finishing touches. That’s when it tells me it’s missing. The video that’s missing I couldn’t save it to my computer because of storage space. So I had to send the video to imessages and import it to final cut from there. It was all there last night, now it’s ‘gone’. Someone please help because the relinking files method isn’t working for me.

iMessage is what Apple calls their text messaging system. I had to send the video to myself through text messages basically. I couldn’t save it on my laptop. The video file was too big.
