I mean, just being someone whose on facebook a lot (for youtube publicity usually) videos don't usually play or they lag a lot unless they're on the lowest quality setting for me.
 
If Facebook monetizes and becomes competitive with YouTube in some of these features, it could certainly be a help to creators, because YouTube is weaker on the social elements (yes, you can comment back and forth, but getting into conversations is clunky and very linear) and also much weaker on things that advertisers care about, like gathering behavioral metrics. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
 
Actually your comment just made me think, I think the comments on videos on facebook will be like YouTube comments x10 I've seen what people comment on facebook right now and it's not a pretty sight so many more stupid people, people who can't take a joke and general arseholes. Plus so many more people who hate anything that isn't on actual TV and think videos on YouTube and stuff are just garbage[DOUBLEPOST=1462547995,1462547823][/DOUBLEPOST]Like have you seen the comments whenever pewdiepie appears on facebook because he was in the news or whatever the amount of hate is overwhelming

A lot of people on Facebook generally have thin skin. They're not used to being disagreed with or having anything they say challenged in any way whatsoever, and for the most part, those people will likely abstain from commenting. That being said, I think you are vastly underestimating the idiot quality of those who comment on Youtube.

Yes, I have seen it, but if you look at the videos PewDiePie posts on Facebook, it has generally the same ratio of love:hate as his Youtube channel does. Non-Youtubers typically tend to have a negative attitude toward Youtubers in general. I think it's because they don't perceive Youtube as 'work' nor do they understand the amount of time invested to make a successful Youtube channel work. That's why there is more hate on articles about PewDiePie on facebook.

Yeah I know that lol what I'm saying is on YouTube you don't get "non-YouTubers" but with facebook you do and moving that kind of content over there may not sit as well is kinda my point.
