End of Video: How to make people stick around longer?

Blend it into the video. I hate to say it but if you watch the last 30 secs of my video you'll see what I mean, it's easier than me explaining. But basically, put your video that's still running, in the end card somehow. I don't know how well it works though cause my retention is s**t house but I like finding creative ways to do the outro/end card, took me a tad bit to figure out how to work around the current end card system.

When creating your video then make the beginning the most exciting part, don't be to overly attached to the video and the viewers and try to awaken their interest in the future of the video by saying something that will intrigue them to watch further, some Youtubers say something along these lines "And then i got a special suprise waiting at the end of the video so make sure to watch it through to the end" or something like this but there are really many ways to do this

I make my outro unique for each of my videos, but I follow a similar format. I use a multiple choice and keep option D) a mystery until the last 2-3 seconds of my videos, so that people have incentives to watch until the very end. There's a lot of psychology behind my outro, and I think it's one of the reasons I have a fairly high view to subscribe ratio of 1 out of every 28.

That sounds like a lot - 25% is nothing short of great :)

It can be a good sign as well, if people are stop viewing the last few seconds then they have had to have watched your videos enough times to know what the outro is. Try having ten different outros in rotation then it becomes more interesting but I wouldn't stress unless they are missing vital content

Outro rotations feel like a great idea, thanks!

Something I heard recently was to give fewer cues that you're transitioning into your outro. Or to basically not say "thanks for watching" as it signifies the video is coming to an end. This could be hard for me as that is my usual go to line.
Another thing might be to hold contests/giveaways and announce a winner during every outro (mix it up so it's not the same spot in the outro). That way your more loyal viewers will watch to see if they are the winner.

Feels like the same situation as with titles, don't give away too much too early :p

It looks great, just feel there is a bit too much going on on the screen. Love the idea though :)

bloopers usually work. but it's tough to gauge and still may not work haha

I went with some gameplay footage so far, bloopers seem like a nice idea to try out. Thanks!

Sounds like something interesting. Seen it used a few times. Great suggestion to try out :)
