Editing and recoring software?

It's a bit different in the case of Photoshop and other adobe products, If they had a noncommercial version for say 100 dollars, they might gain customers who otherwise would pirate it because 600 is a bit ridiculous for what they'll use it for.

They've actually started to address is by moving over to a subscription model. You pay a certain amount per month/year and are guaranteed the latest version of the software as long as you continue the subscription. Microsoft are doing a similar thing with Office. From what I'm hearing over in the software world, expect subscription models to pop up everywhere.

And that's pretty great, I saw that recently and am glad they are doing it!
