Does the YT banner/logo make a difference?

i feel youtube gives these capabilities for a reason and one should take advantage of every opportunity they provide.

creating banners
creating avatars
linking other social network sites
etc...

How many channels do you see with 1,000+ subs and NO CHANNEL ART?

There is a reason for that...
 
I have asked myself that question too:) I am not sure how many more subscribers you will get with a better banner/logo but for some viewers I think it will make a difference. If you channel got kind of a pro look I´m sure it will apeal more to certain people. I also think a banner with a picture of the channel owner and an arrow pointing to SUBSCRIBE work very well. But thats just my opinion:)
