Does deleting a video affect how many overall views you have?

Im really not sure, i wanted to delete the vid but scared incase it deletes the views it gathered

Just privatize them. Deleting videos does in fact subtract your view count.

Private, unlisted and deleted videos no longer count towards your total. Only Public videos count.

I've privatized multiple videos on my channel and my view count hasn't dropped. The only time it dropped was when I deleted a lot of videos.

I don't think so, when I deleted a video I had that had 2,000 views my total view could never decreaced but it may be different now, I see loads of people wiht even 19 views with no videos that have been deleted so....it doesn't I guess

Yes it does. It may take a while for the subtraction to affect your channel, but yes it does. Even if it didn't have any 3rd party content. There's a thread on here about it somewhere.
