do you write scripts or talk on the fly?

I I don't write a script I just record my tangents into the mic and then crop out what I do not like and keep what I do then edit around the audio

Considering I do video game "skits" and tying to say stupid crap to make people laugh a script is a must need. Plus english isnt my native tongue

I talk on the fly when I do my unboxings, makes me say a lot of inapropriate things like sexual innuendos without me realising it until I'm editing afterwards lol.

I just wing it when I'm recording. But since English is not my native language I'm considering a script or at least notes because it can be hard to improvise sometimes :)

this is a question i really want to know your answers to. do you write scripts about how your video will go or do you just talk whatever comes into your mind? me personally i just do whatever i think of when im speaking.. i find this enjoyable because you tend to end up with some really funny and interesting things :) my most recent video is a clear explanation of that!
It depends, if I know that I wont be able to think off the top I will write something out. If not like most of my videos I just go for it, like my most recent video was like 10 minutes before editing audio. In the end its 4 minutes. Scripts are good if you dont wanna edit.

Most of the time, it absolutely isn't scripted. I just kind of have an idea of what I want to talk about and then I go for it until I'm done talking.

But I have a new review series that is scripted and I like how easy it is. I don't say "uh" or "um" in those videos unless I put them there for effect, and I like that.

On the fly! I improvise and come up with it on the spot, which has its good and bad sides. I make dot points on a piece of paper or on my phone to keep me on topic, and when I'm setting up, driving or doing other things I do improvise/ test out what I might say in th video- so I have a good idea of where I'm going with it :)

The first two vlogs around, I didn't script, and it makes me go a loooot of "uhm...", talking in circles, and producing sentences which stop making sense half way through. :p So I scripted for next Friday's vlog and I must say it makes recording go way smoother and the result is better for it too. Once I know what it is I want to talk about I let it simmer till the next morning, and examples, specific phrases and wording, imagery,.. will pop into my head and I'll scribble that down in the moment. Then I write it out in script the next day. But it's still like.. a spontaneous "me" thing? Because I basically jot down the things that would normally come to me during an "in the moment" recording, including "how" I would say them, and select the good stuff. (I mean, I seriously do monologues on topics to myself without a camera and go ike "that's good, I need to write this down" :p). It basically makes my rants more edit-friendly, if that makes sense?

Honestly it just depends on who you are. Some people legit and talk for hours and sound interesting while others need to think long before talking. But yea I personally write my script!

I definetly just talk on the fly! I find it helpful to write down a couple of bullet points just so I don't pause for too long (also I get really nervous during filming???) but yeah I definetly just act like a dork in front of the camera and hope it turns out well haha.
