Posting Mad!
Just checked the getaway videos behavior on some of our channels for prolonged periods of time (multiple years). Despite some background noise the videos are so neatly intertwingled and so nicely respond to each other changes in traffic that the channel traffic is always within certain interval. It is beyond reasonable doubt that there is preprogrammed throthing of videos on YT.
It is either this either YT does not obey the wals of nature - very simple unrelated entities form complex almost sentient behaviour. It is the equivalent of beach sand grains suddenly self organizing and forming words and meaningful sentences.
Sorry but not in this universe.
Yea i have the same thoughts when i look at my reports. I think it looks too convenient for the numbers to be where they are or looks too perfect. Or the patterns are too regular. Either its intuition or im being subjective. Ive got 175 videos and i always assumed i will at least have 1 view per day on each video. And then i discovered a sizable % do not get any views on some days. Which is weird or normal. I dont know yet.
Also this is kind of a chicken or egg question. Are my views within a specific range because thats what my videos earned. Or were they placed into that range and now thats what they are earning. Theres anecdotal evidence to support both.
Do you have more minutes watched because you earned it. Or do you have more minutes watched because your video was served to more people.
Were your videos viewed by 1,000 people because of how many times your video was naturally found in our ecosystem. Or was your video viewed by 1,000 people because of how often your video was served to the people.
I guess the question is, are your videos only limited by the preference for super channels and other rules, or is there another limitation that specifically binds your channel. Are you partially where you are because other videos are pushed up, or are you partially where because your videos are held down.
Im over thinking this but just some thoughts ive been having.
