I think it can be sort of hit and miss. I'm usually not a massive fan, but sometimes I do think it can create a sense of community, especially in quite a large fan base. It's not something I think is super necessary in people with a smaller subscriber count though, perhaps it's a bit off putting.

I used to call my viewer "Fellow Journeyors." I stopped because I wanted to focus more on connecting as opposed to trying to "fit in." At the same time, I am a proud Beardlover, Shaytard Rebellionite, Nerdfigher, Moosher, and a Mythical Beast.
