Do you guys use the annotations?

I just now started putting a link for subscribing to my channel in my videos. Do you guys do this as well? I try to put it out of the way in a corner or something. How much does it help?

I used to do that but I stopped after a while on new video releases, it did drive subscriptions when using it. I should mention though we use them at the end in our end card so we still have one just not during the main content of the video.

Helps a LOT. If someone watches your videos and they see something like "Enjoying the video? Why not give it a like?" or "Like this part? Then you'll LOVE the next one! Click here!" most of the time they'd click it. I would, since there are times that I get too lazy to check out their channels and stuff.

I don't do it all of the time but I definitely use end-cards recommending some of my other videos. How much does it help? From the last 30 days, 1.9% of my views were from annotations. That may be a small percentage but that translates to 196,053 views.

I have only just started putting annotations in my videos the way I see it is like it's another tool in your chest to help you get noticed so why ignore it :-)

I actually get a good % of my views from them. The videos I did use them compared to when I didn't tend to have more views and that series has more views in general :)

I face the prospect of going over all my old videos and linking back ahhh lol nightmare and I need to sort out end cards!!!

I do have one at the beginning but it is only a link to "open the video in playlist mode". I have an end card where I show my previous video, a big button to subscribe, a link to whatever playlist the video is in, and a link to my channel (without subscribing). I used to have more annotations at the beginning but I didn't used to like them and I found that they were ineffective when checking analytics.
