yeah, the problem i have with them is that they dont seem to put any effort in their content. its all the same, a game comes out, they play it and beat it, upload it in chunks of 10 minutes and move on to the next release. they do it for a living and they upload in chunks of 10 minutes, which i find waaaaay to short. thats to be able to upload more and that way get more viewers and eventually more money (i dont say they do it for the money only). they sometimes do some projects which doesnt include gaming but that is a bit rare.
im really liking your opinions through this because it is bringing some aspects within commentaries that some people may benefit from. I do agree with your statement above and its actually a reacurring trend with t!e tyrants of youtube.

I think the Idea that EVERYONE wants to do gaming commenties makes leads to the idea into dying. i think if something is over repeated, it dies.
that was the exact same point that was expressed within the video. In my opinion it is dying but has the chance of revival if commentators like add a twist to it.

I don't think commentaries are dying . Lot's of people enjoy them.
Commentaries over Call of Duty - yes
Let`s plays with commentaries - no

But I agree with this guy ^
I occasionally watch CoD BO/2 commentaries , but usually the commentator is just rambling about something random which I don't care about. Which I find annoying.

Talking about your life overlayed on top of a COD video isn't a commentary, it's a vLog. And if those die, we don't lose anything.

Wait a vlog includes a video bro.. what you just described made no sense to mw lol

Nah, just a pet peeve of mine. A commentary as far as I'm concerned is an on topic vocal experience. A lot of COD video producers call themselves commentators, but they just ramble on about personal life stuff. That's not commentary. I wasn't referring to anyone in specific, just in regards to the topic of commentary dying. It's not dying, but maybe people are getting sick of the flood of bad or misleading commentary. Hopefully.

Ah now that made sense lol and I understand what your point with that.

I've read that engaging with the audience is important especially in your videos, but I guess just making a COD vid with nothing but personal info and the vlog'ers life story would be going a little bit too far. What I don't understand is the COD people who have these monotone voices going on about how amazing their K/D ratio is with nothing else but bigging themselves up for the whole vid. Still, these guys are the ones getting hundreds of subs a day, so I guess they must be doing something right.
