Do you guys think that Commentaries are dying?

Hmm yeah it really depends on the contents/commentaries/etc. Many Youtubers can still make them very interesting... But it's hard to entertain that way all the time... Just once in a while I think it can be fun if it's about explaining something interesting, stuff like that.

yep, true. some1 that manages to grap my attention the whole video long is potatoorgy (dont be fooled by the name xD). even his skyrim is so entertaining i watch it all the way, while he uploads them in chunks of 30 minutes.
anyway, enough of advertising that guy now. srry :P

For me i mean when it comes to commentaries, just because i do it my self it feels sort of repetitive so im starting to stray from it lol.
 
Can't imagine doing commentaries that weren't live. I would have thought half the experience for the viewer is the player messing up or being surprised by something, maybe even showing off the skills, but not just some guy commentating in the post-edit. Maybe if he was making a point in a game like Starcraft I could understand it.....

lol no problem and does he do live commentaries or just simple comms? thanks for the opinions :-)

yeah, the problem i have with them is that they dont seem to put any effort in their content. its all the same, a game comes out, they play it and beat it, upload it in chunks of 10 minutes and move on to the next release. they do it for a living and they upload in chunks of 10 minutes, which i find waaaaay to short. thats to be able to upload more and that way get more viewers and eventually more money (i dont say they do it for the money only). they sometimes do some projects which doesnt include gaming but that is a bit rare.

Im goiN to check out your channel for some live comms maybe ill learn something :-) because just commentating lessens my game time :-(
