Do you guys message your subs?

Whats going on everyone?
I'm a fairly small youtbe (120 subs) and everyone once and a while I message my subs just saying "Hey thanks for being a sub, and supporting my channel. If there is any content you wish to see, or anything I can do to help you enjoy my videos more please let me know." I was wondering if anyone else does this, and if you think its a good idea?

It's fine no problem! I personally wait for their messages though, in case some people are not comfortable with talking to strangers!

Well I just reply to comments most of the time. I have +1000 subs so sending that many messages would be a lot of work. I do interact with them as much as possible though.

Thats what i do to, but im small enough to where i can message them. Once i grow to a large amount of subs i doubt i will have the time to message all of them.

when it gets too much for you, maybe using twitter/facebook/g+ to make polls and ask them what they'd like on there :)
 
only polls and responding to messages, no way am i gonna private message out of nowhere "thanks for watching my socially awkward content" whilst being socially awkward.
 
I don't send out messages because, while I very much value my subs, I don't want to pester them. I'll respond to any comments or messages I get and also ask them in each video about their thoughts on certain subjects and ask them to post their thoughts in the comments.

The best thing to do is reply to all their comments they put on your video. I don't think anybody reads their messages but it is good that you are interacting with your subscribers :D
