DO YOU BELIEVE? (FAMILY? FRIENDS? SUPPORTERS?)

ENJOYING THE PATH OF LIFE. WHICH IS PIZZA.
It can be tough starting a channel and even upholding one. I was just wondering if your friends, family, or even subscribes support you? :)

It's probably a rhetorical question, but I'm just curious where your drive comes from. I know for me I have few friends that continue to watch my videos everytime in our them out, and only a handful of family members. To be honest they have their concerns about my weirdness, but youtube is abiut being different!

I post most of my videos on facebook, so a lot of my friends/family watch my videos but hardly any of them have subscribed to my channel. I think it's because most of them don't spend a lot of time on youtube and the ones that do don't have accounts.
In general i don't get a whole lot of support. It's always WHY are you doing this, WHY are you wasting time on this, WHY this WHY that.
Most of my friends will come out to be in the videos (since they are usually really fun ideas), but they don't help me set up, teardown, film, edit, or with costs.
Me against the world

Some of my friends love our videos and some think they're really weird but they still keep watching them so they obviously don't hate them :p

No support here as well. Hiding my hobby from coworkers and friends :( my wife barely stands the idea and my daughters always cry while I'm recording!

nice to know that i'm not alone

My parents are indifferent (but have refused to ever be in a video), and my friends either don't care or like my videos. So I'd say overall they're more supportive than unsupportive.

To my surprise yes my friends and family both support my youtube channel they are always helping me with feedback and continue to encourage me to post new videos. Yet they are also my biggest critics haha

I literally 0 family and friend supporters. Whenever they do watch it's because I ask or beg. Sad, I know.

My motivation comes from self - self motivation - entrepreneurial spirit

Where would I be if it wasn't for me? smh less people to thank at the first ever youtube awards ceremony I guess -___- lol

My original core of subscribers was good friends though that said it was a small percentage of my total friends list. My parents are hardly supportive either and have just told me to do what I want to do. My biggest fan and supporter is my incredible girlfriend who is forever suggesting new ideas and how I can improve my channel. More recently as well my viewer base has been becoming more vocal which has really helped with confidence!
