DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

Yes to this! I can understand that even with a hobby, people not caring can seem like a downer but its all about progressing and also luck. Unfortunately some people can't handle it and disappear pretty quick, kinda sad when I was watching them though ><
 
Its easy to get down on yourself about the "numbers" you have. Real easy... but this isn't a competition, its your own race, go at your speed.

Laugh at yourself a little, always be learning and willing to change and see how it plays out.
 
Well it's a good point not to give up, but at the same time, I think it's important to evaluate your efforts properly. If you have been doing youtube for a long time, and have made little progress, it certainly isn't a reason to give up, but it is a reason to take a closer look at your videos and see what is going on. Sometimes, you may be doing something the wrong way, and if you simply keep going, you won't get anywhere.

Yeah I agree. it is important to always be willing to look for things to improve with your channel.

I think people want subscribers because it is something that assures them that they are doing a good job with their channel. You don't really neeeed success from your youtube channel. Some people really want success with youtube, so that maybe eventually they can turn their passion into a job.
 
I would be doing the same things if there wasn't a youtube or even an internet. As I get better equipment and skills, my videos will get better and I'll pick up more and more subs. Until then, I'm just glad to make videos every week while enjoying the new friendships I've made with others who are doing the same as me.
