Deleting hate comments vs. responding to them

I've only gotten one hate comment so far and I just ignored it. I didn't feel it was worth it to respond and it wasn't too offensive so I didn't delete it. I'd just brush it off and keep on doing my thing, no matter what others think. If they don't like your channel, so what? There are tens times as many people who will like it so it really doesn't matter. Now if it was something very offensive and filled with swearing, then I'd definitely delete it.
