Deleting hate comments vs. responding to them

I either respond with pure sarcasm or I delete/ban them on the spot. But if their opinion is perfectly justified then I leave it how it is.

On the occasion that I receive a negative comment, keeping in mind that I have a crafting channel and there is not a lot of controversy stirred from toaster koozies and greeting card making, lol. ( I don't make toaster koozies!) I try the kill them with kindness approach. I want to be sure my viewers that read the comments see me handle the negativity with class. I know that some people are just gonna hate but we need to respond the way we want others to respond to us.

However, if the wording or language used is inappropriate I would block the comment.

I do not want to be that person that only allows pretty, sweet, complimentary comments but I won't be spoken to in a disrespectful way either.

It sounds like you are doing the right thing...

Block. Delete and backtrace. But really, i just delete the comment but don't block them because every view counts right?

I usually leave it alone. Although so far the only troll comment I've gotten so far is

r4FFIB9.png

Honestly, I don't know how I should respond to that comment without starting something bad / drawn out.

I usually don't reply at all tbh. Most bigger YouTubers don't aknowledge it, and I may not be big but I'm not going to make myself look immature in comparison.

If it's blatantly really offensive I ban em, if it is constructive or justified I leave it, and occasionally I'll respond if they really got under my skin.

If I was you leave them up. If you leave them up someone else is bound to get p****d off and argue with them. That makes your comment count go up and it helps you get even more views and attention. The highest commented videos get more attention honestly so just leave em for someone else to "feed the trolls"
