I have been getting dislike botted recently.
It doesn't demotivate me at all but it does annoy me that those numbers are there permanently and making new viewers see it and think my content is bad.
Is there no other way to deal with it other than disabling them being visible.

I have no idea what to do and it really annoys me knowing that this could even be possibly my so called friends doing this for their own fun or just because they don't want me to be successful.
 
Hi, I'm sorry this is happening to you. I don't really know how to fix it, other than making it invisible. Hopefully it will go away after a while. I thought youtube filtered out views from bots and corrected the numbers, it doesn't do the same for likes and dislikes? Maybe you have to be patient for the numbers to be corrected? Maybe you can contact youtube staff to help you?

Actually its happened to me about 2 months ago aswell so I don't think they correct them at all. But many thanks for your reply! :D
 
I am so sorry this is happening to you! That is terrible! Gosh, I don't know, I haven't experienced this yet, and hopefully I won't... Maybe contacting YouTube staff is a good idea.

Unfortunately this is something I experienced on my previous channel. Looking back, my content wasn't that good but it was still clear it was a dislike botter as I'd get 30 or so dislikes in a matter of minutes after the video had gone up.

I tried everything. I tried contacting YouTube on Twitter, I tried emailing them, I even sent them a letter. Unfortunately, no luck. I did get a reply once from them and they said there's nothing they can do as they don't share the accounts of who has liked or disliked a video and that all ratings help videos anyway, though, of course, I was the same as you, I felt it didn't look good to new viewers.

Unless things have changed from nearly two years ago, which I doubt it in this case, then there's very little you can do. Even turning ratings off didn't help, as soon as I put them back on, I was spammed with the dislikes again.

I really wish I could have given the sort of answer you're after, but speaking from experience and stuff, YouTube don't do much in terms of dislike botters sadly.

Definitely contact them! As I say, this was around 2 years ago so perhaps there is something they can do now. Either way, it never hurts to ask! I hope that things get resolved either way though, it really sucks!
