Computer Restarts When Playing Games

I use automatic fan curve to deal with temperature with that fan curve, it is a bit noisy due to one of my 670's having the stock fan, but it keeps it very cool, however one thing about my set up is that i have 4 case fans, and two more fans on my Hyper Evo 212, so i have alot of airflow in my case, if it is heat that is causing your problems then my solution would have been to buy one or two more case fans and set them on full blast to have more air flows since 2 fans that you have right now might not be getting the job done well enough
Yea the case I have wasn't necessarily flawlessly designed... If it is heat then I will have to order some fans off newegg or something soon. I might also buy something to test my PSU just in case before I jump to assumptions that it is working fine..[DOUBLEPOST=1373101033,1373100949][/DOUBLEPOST]

Also automatic fan control didnt go so well for me. It kept me up around 80-85c all the time so I made a custom curve now that keeps me around 65-70c

Yea im avoiding any purchasing during my troubleshooting steps for now because once you start buying stuff it becomes a crap shoot if you dont know the general cause of the problem, heat is first, im thinking that either your power supply or VRM's on your motherboard overheat after about 1.5 hours and shut down completely after 2 hours causing system crash, its possible that its the video card but unlikely because EVGA has very good reputation for quality products.

Edit: Yea sorry on my previous post it was slightly ambiguous, i use the automatic fan control after i created the custom fan curve displayed in the image, because you are right the default fan curve is pretty bad

I have honestly never heard of the VRM on a mobo before now haha so I wouldn't have too much experience in that department. I just looked it up though and I have the basic understanding of it now I think. Is there a way I could see if that is indeed the cause?

Kinda, if you have external temperature meter, one of those point and shoot types, then during gaming load take off your side panel and just point it at the CPU, Mobo, and GPU, if you dont have external meter you will have to settle for the next best thing, you have ASRock Extreme 4 and with that motherboard comes a software called ASRock eXtreme Tuner, open it up and you should see your fan speeds as well as the motherboard temperature, mine are below when the PC is Idle, check to see if yours look somewhat similar or completely off

Here is my results:
For idle those are perfect temps, leave that program open and run Max Payne for about 5 minutes and quickly switch to desktop and take a screen shot, hopefully the temps dont increase too much

According to the software your motherboard is functioning just as intended and those temperatures are exactly where you want to be, the only option right now i can offer is the heat test i suggested earlier, when you are up for playing 2+ hours of game turn up all of your fans to max and game away, after say 1 hour take a look at the eXtreme tuner to see if the temperatures are somewhere around 60-70, if they are that is bad, but i suspect they wont be for that particular motherboard, once you have performed the test tell me how it went, from there i will try to see what could be the issue depending on the results

Alright well I will probably perform the heat test tomorrow as it is kinda late right now and I am going to be going to bed soon but I will be sure to tell you how it went sometime tomorrow. Thanks again for all the help so far!

Hello, it has been a little while since I updated this post, sorry about that. Anyways, I was playing far cry 3 earlier and about an hour in my pc restarted but when it restarts it can't power itself back on, it tries but just shuts right back down again. I am going to let it cool down for a couple minutes then test out the fan thing for a good 2 hours and see what happens

EDIT: It says the highest I can put the fans is 80 and I usually have 75 so i am not sure how big of a difference this will make but I will give it a shot and go play for far cry for a couple of hours and see what happens.

EDIT 2: Well since my Far Cry 3 restarted right when I earned an achievement that game is now messed up so I am just going to play Max Payne since it is the original game I had problems with
