I don't mind the demonetization of certain things like the ones who make profit from bad things happening in the world. About swearing, i have mix feelings on it. I understand that they want it to be more friendly but sometimes a swear word will come out. I don't swear a lot but there are times were I just swear on my videos sometimes from maybe a scare or I am frustrated with the game and I haven't had any video demonetize so far I haven't gotten an email or anything yet so yeah I guess they are just demonetizing if you're someone who rants, rage, etc in which you trash talk a lot .-.

The best part, in my eyes, is that they WILL make exceptions this is not a hard rule that changes the game. If you're doing something for entertainment or education of others and your content isn't crazy, they won't stop you.

Wayyyyy too many people treat this like they will say one curse word and get kicked off YouTube. Which is kind of an immature response to YouTube trying to improve it's content as a whole.[DOUBLEPOST=1473465899,1473465707][/DOUBLEPOST]

Don't you kinda feel like there's so many words out there, there's not really a need to express yourself through cursing? I'm not saying it's wrong, I just feel like there's a better way. Anyone who talks for a living should have a vocab that doesn't repeat itself, repeat itself, repeat itsel--. ;D

I understand, but I'm not one to force people to do things they don't want to do. If that's how they feel comfortable talking then so be it. It really isn't affecting me in any way.
 
Personally i think its an absolute joke that they are against bad language. EVERY program on the tv pretty much has swearing in but do they blank that? no.. Yeah youtube might be a bit easier for younger people to access videos and watch videos with bad language but thats for the parents to deal with, youtubers shouldnt lose out on money because the old F-BOMB comes out now and again i do it plenty of times myself. Its a joke to me seriously there are far more important things to worry about than swearing...
 
I swear in my videos when I feel it is appropriate. I have no videos demonetized at all. I'll have to see if that changes but so far I am not affected.

Why do people think it's actually about the act of cursing and not the context?

I have a relative that works for YouTube. He told me as far as he understands it swearing in a video should not actually be a problem. I am testing his theory. :)

Well, it's just what I was told. Say my source was wrong and everyone listens to me and then everyone from this forum gets banned from YouTube for life? Man I would feel kinda bad about that. But really it sounds more like a tag, title, description and thumbnail issue.

Whoa whoa whoa, bro. I don't remember you saying "Hey everybody ignore it"

And, again whoa, I don't remember hearing anybody getting banned for something. I thought this was about demonetization of videos with cursing.
