Channel growing WAY to fast

Once you pass a certain threshold the Algorithm starts to heavily promote your channel (something like a positive feedback loop).
They are targeting ultra popular searches (Star Wars, Batman etc) and they have good editing (high audience retention). Nothing surprising here.
:)

That is some INSANE growth that they got going on there. They have probably bought a few thousand subscribers at the start but once they caught on, the majority of their subscribers are most likely real. I've only watched one of their videos and it's not bad, reminds me a bit of ScreenRant and they got massive quick as well.

Well their content has very broad appeal. Lots of people love movies and there are millions of wannabe actors all over the world who are interested in Hollywood gossip too. They are also surfing the "superhero" and Star Wars trend so they definitely seem to know what they're doing in terms of SEO and content choice.

Honestly their growth rate doesn't really surprise me. Their commentary, editing and graphic art are all top notch. The only thing that surprises me is that they haven't had any copyright issues. - They use a lot of long movie clips. Perhaps they have prior permission to use those clips. That is the only apsect of their channel that surprised me.

I'm usually super happy when channels grow fast.
but this one seems off to me.

It had about 10,000 subscribers not even two weeks ago.
There is no way this growth is normal.

I mean they probably used money but i'm just curious on everyone elses opinion.

Honestly, I don't think 500 thousand people IN TWO DAYS on a still 100,000 subbed channel
wanted to see a video on Sean William.

What is the Youtuber's channel name?? Because the channel link that you posted is not working for me for some reason.... :/

Ive watched a few of their videos too. They know what will get people's attention. Not subscribed, but if i see any more of their interesting thumbnails come my way, i am definitely clicking.

The type of videos they make are catchy, "top 5 this" or "10 ways to put a USB into a USB port" kind of videos usually catch a lot of attention and from what they've produced it seems to be a fairly broad audience yet targeted to people who like these kind of things, not to mention their 2nd most recent uploaded video is basically news/gossip and on top of they they seem to focus on notable & recent trends like Fallout 4, Star Wars, Batman Vs Superman etc... and they're also short and bite size. The fact that it's assumed they are part of a bigger YouTube channel or company means their presentation, branding & marketing is done well, they have a proper website (a fairly professional looking 1 from a quick glance) set up as well. To put it simply they've basically followed everything by "the book" & someone picked up on this so I'm honestly not surprised by their fast success.

You don't think 500,000 people (out of the millions who watched American Pie growing up) would want to know where Stifler is now days? That doesn't make sense. lol

Considering that YT continues to shove this clickbait garbage down my throat in the recommended section despite me designating multiple times that I'm not interested in the channel (nor do I have a search/watch history that makes any sense why I should have this channel thrown at me in the first place), no, I'm not surprised at their rate of growth.

Stupid annoying algorithms.
