Question regarding Youtube's Copyright Claim. One of my videos has copyrighted content because of the song it has.

" The claimant is allowing their content to be used in your YouTube video. However, ads might appear on it. "

I understand this message but, my concern is, if my video starts getting many views, is the claimant able to change his policies and try to penalize me?

Yes, that is always a possibility and they reserve that right. However, if they're monetizing it and it starts to gain a lot of views, why would they block it to penalize you and lose all of the extra income they're earning?

Yes, they can change their mind, but it's fairly unlikely. As always though, it's better to be safe and not use copyrighted works in the future.
