Calling YouTube 'work'

I get over 2 mil views a month.
Aye rub it in haha ;)
Lol jk, I've watched your videos and you definitely deserve it, it's clear you put a lot of effort in. I know non-gamers will never be able to reach out and find success quite as well as the gaming channels, but I like my videos man. Lol, hope it goes somewhere :P

yeh gaming is so big on Youtube right now, anyone can start making good gaming videos and grow big.

A lot of people probably earn their money and call "work" what other would call a hobby or a fun activity.
Football players, musicians, painters, dancers, .... just to name a few.
If you are good at something, there's often a way to make a living out of it (maybe not when good at procrastinating).

At first it sounded weird when I met an old friend of mine again and he considered playing online poker work. Then he explained it to me, why he calls it work and not "playing" and I agreed. Until he said that he could stop playing/working now and never have to work again. *sigh* :)

I personally see youtube as, to some extent work, fun work, but still work. Of course it is worth noting that depending on how much you consider this tedious will affect how much you consider it work.

Secondly you have to consider the other person. They may or may not consider making videos work, and it would be kind of mean to downplay the contribution that person gives by collaborating with you.

Plus I hobbied with X doesn't sound quite as eloquent.

I think work is associated with anything that takes effort. If you want to make a good YouTube video, you have to work for it - Britney Spears seems to understand the concept well.

...an old friend of mine... online poker...
Until he said that he could stop playing/working now and never have to work again. *sigh* :)

Is he a known player? I enjoy poker but online poker is no longer legal in the USA.
Now that I have resigned from my Postal job, I can enter some of the local 2-3 day tourneys.
