But I HATE Twitter!

Really? I never guessed. It is so good to have captain obvious over here. You asked for a social media site that has them all linked, I gave you one. I never attacked you or anything like that but yet you seem to have taken it so personally. It's rather funny. Especially when I put that it was unfortunately not a free service in my initial post.

Wow, I took nothing personally, I was rather stating that there is a very simplistic and easy way to link all your social media sites for free, if you take it that I am offended I will say that your are mistaken. I wouldn't get offended over this at all haha.

"Especially when I put that it was unfortunately not a free service in my initial post"

My bad, I actually didn't see that all I saw was the link and immediately jumped on a post/ reply back, many apologies mate.

Twitter feels like a grind to me, but I try to post on it the best of my ability. Hopefully one day I can pay someone to manage my social media for me :thumbsup2:

Hi All,

Do all you guys have Twitter?
I've been on youtube for like 3 weeks now and I've gotten messages asking for my Twitter name, but I don't have one so I added my Instagram and Facebook links to my page to make up for lack of Twitter, but I'm thinking those sites are dying out. I just feel like I'm talking to myself on Twitter, which is ironic because that's exactly what I'm doing while looking into a camera, but somehow it feels more loserish on Twitter.
I don't know. Do you guys think not having a Twitter account will matter in the long run?

At first you might feel lonely on twitter but as you get more subs, twitter will be a great way to communicate with your subs and notify them with any channel updates, if they want you to do a video about something specific, etc.
So my recommendation is get on Twitter and tell your subs in your videos to follow you on Twitter for your updates and to send you any questions they have. Plus its another outlet to advertise your channel and get more subs that way.

Good Luck!

Guys! you were all so right about twitter! I posted my vid with some hashtags and stuffs happening. haha I got a couple new followers and some comedy page added me to something. I don't know what that means but yay Twitter!

Twitter is up there on the list of places you can advertise your channel on without getting tons of hate, go for it!

You don't have to use a social media account you don't like. I have a facebook account so no one will steal my url, but I don't really post on it. However, twitter is very useful! If the reason you don't like it is that you feel like you're talking to no one, try following a bunch of other accounts in your niche. Some will follow you back, and maybe even check out your channel. And most importantly you'll have some people to talk to! Replying to other people's tweets in your feed, not just tweeting your own stuff, can help people notice your existence too.

I wouldn't say that I'm in an ideal place with Twitter, but I'm also fairly content with the engagement that I have.

In addition to automatically tweeting my new videos (and having twitter connected through youtube so that when other people like my videos and have the auto-tweet function turned on for that, it notifies me on twitter), I usually add other people in my interests, and then put them into "lists" so that I can read all the tweets that discuss a particular subject. Then, if I see tweets that I like I'll reply to them. I've found that this sort of one-on-one back-and-forth style conversation can slowly but surely build relationships, get followers, and even get some views. It is, however, a very indirect method.

I find Twitter is the worst of social media sites, I have no idea why I feel like that but I do.
I have Twitter but I don't post to it just because I feel the same with the whole talking to yourself what not.
