Blurry background

Depending on your camera, I have a small Canon Powershot, there are settings that offer fun little filters to use. If you use the "Miniature Toy" preset under the camera settings it will focus on a designated area that you select and automatically blur out everything outside of that window.

You can cheat this effect with an iPhone and some preparation. If you focus on an item a certain distance away, and hold down on the screen, you get focus lock. Then move the phone to a different location and make sure you sit the same distance away. The background will then be blurry.
