I've Got It
Which type of YouTuber do you guys find more entertaining? Big YouTubers, or small YouTubers.

For me, personally, I enjoy watching smaller YouTubers more than big YouTubers, not only do they have better personalities, (and in some cases, better commentary), I enjoy their videos more, because they actually take more time to go into the comments section and interact with their subscribers. I hardly see PewDiePie do that, usually he just comments on ONE person's videos, if that. Granted he gets thousands of comments a day, but don't you think he could do more than one?

Also, I think that smaller YouTubers are better because they have more potential, whereas bigger ones are constantly running out of games to play, since they've been around longer.

But that's just me, which type do you enjoy more?

Also, there's a poll on this, please answer, lol.

It's hard for me to say, I've seen a few big guys who take their time to reply to comments and even get actively involved in a convo. Of course many bigger YouTubers don't even reply at all but that's not a make or break for me, from a subscriber standpoint if your content is good I'll watch it.

I totally agree! But I've seen many YouTubers, back when they were small, who took the time to interact, and do collabs with other smaller YouTubers, such as PewDiePie and Cryaotic, but then Pewds got big, and left Cry behind.

THAT is what I don't like about big YouTubers, they want it all for themselves.

You know people can still be friends and not make videos together cx

yea i mean its great for them to be able to reply or notice you and your comment but you also want them to go viral and succeed so i think its great to find a channel you know is going to get big soon and enjoying there feedback till they are too big to really notice you or not notice you as much as lil YTers. But YTers that are still small are great but they will eventually get big if they have great content to offer so enjoy them while you can on a personal level anyway :) nice forum topic

Indeed, but it seems peculiar that PewDiePie left him behind, once he got millions of subscribers, they've never done a collab video in two years, if my memory is correct.

I'm not saying that they are not friends, I'm saying that it's weird that he doesn't do collab with people that don't have tons of subs like him.[DOUBLEPOST=1453589197,1453588832][/DOUBLEPOST]

I agree with you. I've been on YouTube for a while, only recently began this channel to make videos. I've been 'across this site and back', and I've seen a dozen YouTubers make it big, and some of them sucked in the beginning, which is a reason why I started mine, lol.

Most of them abandon smaller channels, even the ones that helped them grow. And that makes me sad.

and you never know what happened between people when one of your friend goes famous he could have went all demanding saying u have to do a vid with me i mean he probably didn't but
ppl change stuff happens in the end its his channel he can do what he thinks is best for it

I watch a mix of big and small. One thing I've seen is that smaller YouTubers tend to be more innovative and try new things, but the downside is that for every good idea there are a lot of ideas that don't work out. Small YouTube channels tend to be all over the place rather than focused, because they're still in the process of discovering what works. Watching smaller YouTubers is like panning for gold, it can be a messy slog, but it's so exciting to find a gold nugget once in a while!

Bigger YouTubers will sometimes imitate trends once they've identified them as having potential for success. They are more likely to think about what's going to hit big before trying something new, it's more of a business decision when determining what content to make. They don't always take the big risks and are more concerned about staying on-brand and consistent. But on the other hand big YouTubers often have the resources to do things that no one else can, like getting big names, exotic travel locations, higher production value, etc.

I realize these are very general statements and there are lots of exceptions! Every channel has its ups and downs.

yea i know what you mean its cool to see our "peers" succeed and it also is sad or not right that ppl dont give others cred but there are ppl that do give a lot of cred so ppl are ppl whatcha gonna do. just make sure not to do that when/if you get big :)

I agree with you, I prefer smaller youtubers because they usually read the comments and suggestions, interact with fans and it's not all about the money :)
