Personally, I prefer Adobe Premiere Pro (CS5.5), simply because it's what I'm used to using.
I'm pretty sure it can do whatever Final Cut Pro and Sony Vegas can do.
It's probably best to be able to use all the major NLEs - I've used Final Cut Pro (on a Mac... which I wouldn't choose unless I had to), but I've never used Sony Vegas. Can't really be much different from those two, though, can it?
One reason Premiere Pro is better than the others is that you can get it as part of Production Premium, for example, which comes with Photoshop, After Effects and other legendary pieces of software...
