Best Video Editing Software

Just out of curiosity, what video editing software do people think is the best and why??

I think there's no such thing as the best in general, I think its more about the best for the person using it. For me it has to be Sony Vegas Pro, it does everything I need to do and has a lot more in there I could learn and use in the future. I find it easy to learn new techniques in it and the interface and layout of everything if I were to rate it I would give it an 8/10, I say 8 because at times some of the options are quite hard to find and seem a bit buried but other than that it is the best for me out of the ones I have tried.

sony vegas pro 11 for me, or video pad if u want something good for free.

we have a mac so we use Final Cut Pro X

I use Sony Vegas Pro 9 myself and I do think it's a great piece of software, but I will be changing over to Adobe Premiere Pro.

At the moment I'm on a terrible laptop and I'm using adobe premiere elements 4, which is fairly outdated, but I've found the adobe elements series and adobe premiere to be super easy to use and inexpensive/ free if you visit the right websites or know someone who has it.

Adobe premiere pro and after effects is what i use for my videos and it gets the job done!

I hear final cut pro is really good. You can use really amazing special effects!

Theres also apple motion that works with final cut!

Adobe CS6 Premier Pro and After Effects, Easy to work with and color correcting is really easy on the programs.
