Best video editing software ever!

The best video editing software by far is.. Sony Vegas, at first it's complicated to use, but eventually when you master it, it can make a video into a masterpiece!

When we say best, it is relative. I understand that Sony Vegas is the best for you and I respect that. However, I agree with one of the comments above. I also love Adobe Premiere Pro more.

I haven't tried anything else except iMovie or FCPX, but I like FCPX ^^

I started my first video in windows movie maker. Made one video in the program and went to adobe premiere after.
Right now I have used FinalCut, Avid, Adobe premiere and Adobe After effects. (yes you can edit in there)

The main point is. Can you handle the edit program. Can you succeed making the stuff you want to make. Yes? the that is a perfect suit for you.
No? try another suit that does have the options. Don't be afraid to open another program. The basics stay the same. The interface is just a bit different.

Yeah that's ok Sony Vegas but you can take it to a whole new level with abode after effects cs6.

Sorry for the stupid question, but did you buy Sony Vegas or what?

I agree, the first time I used sony vegas pro 11 I was like but now it is so simply to use and you can do so many things with it! I simply love it haha!

I have a Mac and i use iMovie for editing and cutting, pretty handy for newbies and then go for after effects for bit more polishing the video. Though i like the experience and quality with sony vegas but bit complicated.

Wait. Do you guys seriously use After Effects for general video editing? That's definitely not the purpose of it lol. It's called AFTER effects for a reason; I think you might want to use Premiere Pro.
