Best video editing program for multiple cuts?

Hey guys,

This might be a stupid question but I have tried loads of video editing programs that don't let you easily cut bits out of a video, like they ask you to put in a start time and an end time and they are just clunky.

With the old windows movie maker it was very very easy but I can't seem to get that any more.

What are the best video editing tools for cutting out snippets of a video?
Thanks
Oliver

well i couldn't really give you a great selection cause i have only ever used Sony Vegas And that works really well for me! download the free trial and see how you like it

The new Windows Movie Maker, dubbed Windows LIVE Movie Maker, is really easy in making cuts. The options should be under a colored tag called "Video".

So that's why you have "PP" in your logo ;)
nope that actually stands for Pavilion Plays :P I used to use Song Vegas, then moved onto Final Cut Pro 7 :) but then found that Premiere Pro was a better version of final cut and worked on windows :P

Final Cut X isn't software it's an app, it doesn't replace Final Cut Pro 7 :) It doesn't even read Final Cut Pro 7 files!! Apple ****** up so hard on that! it's like a slightly more professional version on iMovie.. too cheap for final cup pro 7 but too professional for iMovie? get final cut x ;D
