Best tips/advice you can give a new YouTuber

Hi Everyone I'm James. I just signed up for these forums and I plan to start my own gaming channel sometime in the next few months. I don't know much about running a channel but I was hoping some of you guys could give some me some important tips or advice.
 
Hello and welcome to YTtalk! Gaming channels are the most popular on YouTube so getting traffic into your channel can be tough, but just enjoy yourself, be original and be consistent with your uploads, don't expect a lot too soon and eventually you'll get an audience!
 
Just have fun with it! Try not to think about numbers/views/likes too much and be patient. Remember it's a hobby not a job :)
 
Make different content in the gaming niche don't just do gaming and commentary's. There are already a billion other gaming channels you need to do something to make yours stand out.
 
Do not loose track of the #1 thing you joined up for. Having fun. If you let yourself be dragged into the whole analytic side of it you won't have any fun at all.

Create content that you want to create. No one is telling you what to do on YouTube. Your channel is your canvas and yours alone!

Your right... I been thinking about also implementing a sports news show since I follow sports like an religion... Maybe also some vlogs.
