That's strange. I know that there are a lot of other people who had the same problem as I did. I searched far and wide and every download that I tried wouldn't install correctly. Do you remember where you got the download from? Or was it already installed on your system?
I got it from the Microsoft website.

Hi all, I recommend this website called Kapwing for trimming and merging video clips together. Nice because you can import directly from YouTube instead of having to download and re-upload.

While I don't use it due to the format restrictions, DaVinci Resolve is pretty solid as an industrial-grade video editor for the price of none.

I used Windows Movie Maker which I thought was pretty weak. Perhaps I was using it wrong but I really gave it a shot.
Heard some good things about "Hitfilm Express" some time earlier.

Shotcut for video editing
Audacity for audio
Gimp for images that i never use because i'm not able/willing to use it
Inkscape for other stuff
