Audio is faster than video, help!

Hey guys, so I am in the process of editing some videos but while editing in Premiere Elements I have noticed for some reason that the audio is playing faster than the video itself. It obviously means that my videos go way out of sync and looks retarded. Anyone know what could be the problem? I record audio in Audacity, webcam with Logitech Webcam Software and my games in Mirillis! Action.

Does it get consistently faster or is just ahead of the video a few seconds ? If audio is ahead of video of all times, I suggest you trim the audio in the beginning.
 
If it constantly gets fast, I don't think trimming the audio will help. I think there is an effect in Audacity that changes speed and tempo, you could probably check those out. I'm sure how Premiere Elements work, but there may be a setting there for speed of your audio.
 
I think its Elements that screws up, cos the footage in webcam program is all in sync. God i hate editing sometimes hahah
 
render out from premiere with 'progressive' in the render options, and also if you are recording with a tablet or low quality camera then your video will be skipping frames and that is when it goes out of sync. try recording with a camera that can handle a higher framerate so you are not skipping frames

I used Cyberlink Powerdirector 12 and the same thing happened to me!!!!!!!!
But instead , my video became faster than the audio......so then, the video would finish up before the audio , look all retarded and get stuck,

I tried many things, asked People on the Cyberlink Forum but went unanswered!

I searched and searched and searched and searched and searched and searched and searched and search
and in the end, the only thing that worked for me was recording my video into the Mpeg-2 format instead of
the Avi format.......
It worked for me..............although strange things keep happening, but they normally go away...(like audio getting stops, jerks or fluctuations on regular second apart intervals, resulting me recording all over again)........(audio being muted, resulting for me to record all over again)

Video edting can be difficult sometimes
 
It could be you've set a 24fps video to a 30 fps project, so it's slowing the video down but the audio is of course the same? Sorry if that didn't help!
 
It's extremely unlikely that the audio is the problem. Audio recording is not a system intensive operation. Rather, it could be that the video recording is hitting your hard drives max write capacity at times causing some frame issues. What is your setup for hard drive recording?
