Audience Retention

Is 50% view time good for videos? Or should I try to get it higher?

It is good - is that overall?

It's worth looking at how long your videos are too ,out of interest. If your vids are (for e.g.) 20 mins long and you get 50% overall then yes that's amazing! But if you had 8 30second videos, then not so much XD[DOUBLEPOST=1367242744,1367242704][/DOUBLEPOST]I just noticed I have 50% on mine too :D quite pleased with that.

I said in a previous thread I personally hate these stats, as it makes it sound worse than it is so I won't be checking. It was 31% though in the last thread we made :)

EDIT* Got persuaded to check it, its 37.8% now, so a 6.8% increase
that is good but always strive for me...
Read it first as a typo, then I realised you don't make typo's like that and what you say should be the ambition of all YouTubers :D

As a let's player, we should GET USED to it by now. We're not big channels at all. However 50% is quite normal for people who does vlogging and skits. But for let's player, 50% is actually a real high audience retention.

I get like 10% because my first few videos were like 20 minutes long ._.

By the way, wanna collaborate :3?
