At What point do the subscribers "start rolling in"?

We may have different definitions in the term, "rolling in" because someone who may not have a subscriber and sees that he gets one subscriber per day may consider that as "rolling in." Anyway, I have a smaller channel than you (300 subs or so), and I'm averaging 2 subs per day. Some days I may get 10 subscribers and others I don't gain any. I think the reason my channel is growing at this speed is because I think my channel provides value and advice to my viewers. My channel is about high school and college advice, and with more and more people going to college each year there is going to be a handful on YouTube looking for help. It's a small niche that students want, and those are the keywords--"small niche" and "want." So if you're unhappy with your subscriber rate then see where you can provide more value in your videos. I hope this helps.

I think it was around passing the 300 subscribers mark when I started to get subscribers on a more regular basis. It's still "only" three to four a week but it seems to really get rolling.

The subs start rolling once you have a consistent body of work on your channel that drives regular views. Once I had a couple of consistent series running on my channel I was getting 2-3 subs a day. Add a few gateway videos to get more people to your channel in the first place, and that has bumped me even further.

I think that if you're getting 2-3 per day, you are doing pretty well - that should equate to about 1000 subs in a year! I found that my average subs increased once I hit 500+, but you still need to be putting out the right videos at the right time

Hey everyone,

So I was just wanting to hear from your experience, is there a certain subscriber milestone where subscribers just seem to take off? After passing 500 subs I have been noticing I get about 3 a day, which compared to what I used to get is great, but Im still not satisfied (not greedy, just have high goals and expectations).

At what point did you find that your subscribers just started piling up? When did you really feel proud of this?

Very broad question. It can depend on how you market your videos, the entertainment value of your videos, and if you get lucky and a video goes viral. So many things play a huge role when things start to piece together.

Seriously guys, 3 per day is incredibly little. But to answer OP's question, i start rolling in subs at the 3k mark. That's for me though, every channel is different.

They start roll in when YouTube algorithm finally identifies correctly your channel niche and assessed that your channel shows above average viewers engagement. Than and only than the algorithm will start to actively promote your channel among the "correct" prospective audience and they will start to subscribe in numbers.
