At What point do the subscribers "start rolling in"?

like ppl said, its a snowball!!!! i remember i was at 50 subs some weeks ago, now im with 169 and with average of 4 per day, and in my case the ball started to roll at 50 subs

I remember when I first started out a few years ago I started gaining a lot of subs, I then became inactive for about two years and I'm currently on just over 500. Now I find it very hard to gain followers and usually get about 1 a week and then lose 1 that same week

It's all about the viewership you have in the long run. Having 5k subscribers means squat if you're getting 100 views on your latest video after a week.

Yeah I agree. Even though I seem to have the opposite haha, I get around 250 views per day, so my view to subscriber ratio is a little high on the view end.

I think it depends. When I first started my old channel I only had 3 videos posted. When I uploaded my third video I got 8 new subs but changed channels so the growth probably could of been a lot more have I kept it up on that channel. I would assume once you have around 5-10k the subs will probably roll in more to your expectation. Best of luck with your channel!

There really wasn't that much of a pattern to mine other than I get spikes whenever I get a spike in views. Which is usually when I post a new video. You also tell on this chart that I changed my uploading habits in October. For the past four months I've only posted one video a month (last one was a couple days ago, YT analytics only shows the first uptick).

The problem here is that "rolling in" will change as you grow... Meaning that when I had 100 subs, I would be getting 1 stub a day, and I wanted more. Then I started getting 6 stubs a day, and I was satisfied for a bit... Then again I wanted more. And still to this day, I wouldn't consider my sub's as "rolling in". And I think this will continue for the rest of my YouTube career.
"Never be satisfied. Always strive to improve no matter how good you think you are!"

However if you are just talking about steady consistent growth, I noticed it at about 2k subs. I averaged 10-15 per day.

there is no set point for anyone really.
has to with how much you upload, view numbers and all that stuff more then just hitting a certain number.
It does however seem that most of the channels who manage to grind it out to 10k pick up allot of speed fast.

one thing I like to do is look at my view to sub ratio.
I get around 200 views and 2 subs every day which means that for every 100 views I get 1 sub. Of course I often click on my own videos to respond to comments or to rewatch and think of ways to improve later so the numbers may be a little off, but that will give me kind of an idea what to expect if I got 1000 views a day.

My subscriber count is gaining very slow due to many shakeups I've done to it.

The most effective way to get subscribers is finding a right name. The previous name I used was PLC Light, but searching for it was deemed hard because the term was also associated with some tech companies.

I changed my YouTube channel name just yesterday to TechPattie. I find it a bit catchy and it fits well with my channel motivations.
