Are you a natural talker on Camera?

I had this one channel and no I can't speak too fluent when I am on camera. Mostly because I do not rehearse my lines. I just speak where the video ends up too long. The same goes with this channel, the videos where I talk too in them live, there are lots if hums and UBS and pauses. I try to edit them out but they are too long because I speak too slow. As for some videos where I speak over my clips, I write them down on paper and read them out which makes it easier but I do make mistakes because I always had problems reading words as a kid and it still lives within me. When it comes to speaking, I feel so awkward. Because everyone judges.

I don't really get nervous about being in front of an actual audience, but I'm still a little hesitant about talking in front of a camera. I tend to drag things and repeat the same concept over so I worry that what I am trying to say will not go across as simply as it is in my min. I do make weird talking faces sometimes so that is always funny to catch myself thinking, "Haha, I looked like that!" :p

I didn't feel comfortable at first but honestly it didn't take long for me to get the hang of it. Just look in the lens and start yapping. lol

I think everything gets better with practice. I sounded really really BAD when I first started. I had alot of ums ooh and ahhs in my sentences..but as you go on, you learn how to narrate or speak and it works out well after that. Everyone is a natural imho :) hugs and good luck!

Its kinda weird for me. To be a natural talker it has to be done in a gaming video with live commentary. That's where I do my best, but if I do a vlog or anything in post I have to script out my thoughts before I say a word. Or i'll just end up sitting there with my mind in a knot.

I tend to be shy as hell in person and all that, weirdly enough, whenever I'm being filmed in any way the shyness just vanishes and I feel confortable talking.

It hardly comes natural to me. In fact I put off making videos for a long time because I just wasn't confident in my ability to talk 'on camera'. I talk over gameplay, so I'm not even on camera with my face but I still doubt about my speaking abilities. I do have to say though that, since I started, I've become better at it and get less nervous about it. Hopefully one day I'll work up the nerve to throw my face on camera.
