I don't have this promote option, where abouts is it?
 
It should already be linked to your Google account or whatever account you're signed in with as long as it's the same email. Now, go to your "Video Manager" and next to where it says "Upload" on the far left, there should be a downward arrow. Click on it. Now click on "Adwords For Video". Now it should be self explanatory! :)

Was it my way, or a different way? If it was different? How did you do it?
 
Sorry, Video manager beside the edit button the down arrow (same one you are talking about)? there is a promote option
 
I recently thought about using the Facebook ad promotion, but now am thinking otherwise. I did the same thing as the OP the other day. I started filling out the form on facebook then I backed out, so maybe I'll get a coupon in a bout a week haha. I think I'll stick with as much free promotion and the occasional Adwords campaign.
