Are Facebook Ads Worth It?

I got mine by starting to place an ad, then stopping the process. Basically, I clicked the button that says "Get more likes" or you can select "Build Audience->Create An Ad". Then I started filling things out and stopped midway without completing the process. A couple of weeks later, I had an email with the invitation and $50.

Doing this right away !

CONFIRMED !

I created an ad, stopped at the point where I had to pay, and they just emailed me a 30$ coupon :)

So that's a 4 day delay between me stopping before paying and them sending a coupon, fairly decent !

I'll post again to give you the results on my Facebook page.[DOUBLEPOST=1348745090,1348744726][/DOUBLEPOST]Well that's garbage
You have to input your credit cart number before using a coupon and my credit card is refused by Facebook
So yeah. Dumb, we should be able to use a coupon without any payment info.

Based on my experience Facebook ads work, but on a CPC basis they are more expensive and deliver lower quality traffic compared to other ad buys (Adwords, Reddit). I strongly encourage everyone to use their free ad credits, but in terms of actually generating good return on your marketing investment my sense is you either need a brilliant, provocative campaign or you're better off elsewhere. Recommend studying the banner ads that currently populate your facebook viewing experience and study what's effective, what's not effective and why

So far, with 40.81 of the $50 used, I have gotten 275 new likes.

I also did the same for Adwords (starting an ad, then stopping) and received a $100 coupon. This one requires you to spend $25 to get it, but I think that may be worth it as well.

Are all those likes direct conversions from your Facebook ad campaign? If yes that's a surprisingly good ROI on $40.

Maybe Facebook audiences love sock puppets. How are you targeting the ads if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, that's all from the ads and I set it to focus on likes.[DOUBLEPOST=1348766769,1348766629][/DOUBLEPOST]The ad reads as follows....
LOL with Totally Socks, a comedy web series about some wacky, irreverent sock puppets.

Allright so I dived in and got my credit card to work trough Paypal.

First day, 0.28 euros spent and 7 new likes on my page, with a campaign set on "show it to people who are more likely to like my page" , it seems that the ROI is extremely strong on Facebook, good thing !

I will come back and do a report in a month , when my free 30 euros are spent.

PS : Facebook , I'm still mad at you for not letting people use their coupon without entering their credit card num :(

I'll have to try starting to create an ad on Facebook, free advertising is great. I got the free $100 adwords credit already.

Assuming I can get a Facebook credit, I may try using them at the same time on a Halloween campaign.

All of the $50 has been used, and the results speak for themselves. I went from 3 likes at the beginning to 332 likes at the end, which I am thrilled with.

Good luck to anyone who tries this.
